Inspire1Million

Inspire1Million Overview

In 2010, Sabirul launched the Inspire1Million campaign to inspire and motivate 1 million young people globally through a series of motivational talks and enterprise workshops. He delivers these sessions in schools, colleges, universities, and various youth-focused events worldwide. Additionally, the campaign reaches broader audiences, including businesses, corporations, and youth clubs.

Sabirul is deeply committed to empowering young people worldwide, instilling hope and the belief that regardless of their circumstances, every individual has the potential to become extraordinary.

Today’s youth, face significant challenges such as high unemployment and a lack of motivation to pursue success. Inspiration and positive role models are essential to transforming their mindset, encouraging them to become proactive citizens, and ultimately fostering positive change. This need is particularly pressing in developing nations worldwide, where the current economic situation demands urgent action.

In line with his unique vision, the Inspire1Million campaign follows ‘The Cycle of Success’ model which equips young people with the skills and mindset needed to develop an enterprising mindset and embark on their entrepreneurial journey. The Inspire1Million has been delivered in 31 countries and the campaign continues to expand its reach. Events are typically organized over one to two weeks, with sessions held in schools, colleges, universities, and public venues, culminating in a major public event.

Example event formats include:

  • 1-hour events: Hosted at schools
  • 2-hour events: Hosted at colleges and universities & public events

“The Inspire1Million is a journey to instil an enterprising can-do mentality in youth worldwide”

What Sabirul Talks About at Each Event

Below explains in detail what Sabirul talks about during an Inspire1Million event. The length of talk varies depending on where it is delivered.

  1. Sabirul Islam’s Motivational Talk – 30mins to 1 hour
  2. Q&A Session – Up to 30 minutes
  3. The Cycle of Success – 1hr to 2  hours – This is run as a workshop as well as for large audiences

Programme Details:

Sabirul Islam’s Motivational Talk: Here Sabirul will talk about his own journey, and how he has managed to get to where he is today. Key topics covered within this talk include:

  1. How to gain self-belief
  2. Why being motivated is important
  3. Learning from Failure – Here Sabirul talks about the barriers in which he has had to overcome and the challenges in which he has faced
  4. Networking Marketing and why it has helped Sabirul to gain a Global Reach

Sabirul also talks about his journey, how he set up his first business, what was required, and how he overcame many obstacles. Having grown up in a disadvantaged community, how he used that to his advantage.

The talk is inspiring, and empowering and enables the audience to change their mindset from a negative approach to a more positive mindset, one that carries a lot more belief, hope, and optimism.

Q&A Session: This follows from the motivational talk, and gives the audience a chance to ask Sabirul questions. This is an important part of the session, as a Q&A session answers many questions that ‘without knowing’ often discourage a young person from pursuing an entrepreneurship career.

The Cycle of Success: This is a 15-step training programme which Sabirul delivers. This is mainly delivered as a workshop, though Sabirul has delivered this programme to audiences of up to the size of 3000. The training programme is split into 3 core learning phases:

  • Self Discovery
  • Personal Branding
  • Getting Started in Business

Each phase has 5 steps, which Sabirul goes through in detail, to equip the audience with the correct learning skills on how to ultimately get started in business. It takes away the element of the ‘business stereotype’ that you need ‘a great idea’ and ‘money’ to succeed in business! The cycle of success teaches a whole new method of understanding how success is formed within a person.

“Hi Sabirul Islam. You came to my school today with one of the most inspirational speeches I have ever heard and I am sure, I am not the only one, I am 14 years old and interested in business. I don’t want to be a normal teenager sitting on my play station all day, I want to be different and with that speech you have given, you have just boosted my inspiration to be successful in life and I want to thank you for coming down to my school”Student in South Africa

“Standing ovation. Read about you on News24 via Entrepreneur Magazine. I thought I am the only one who has this dream; however, you realized it. You have just motivated me to keep going. 19 years of age one year to go for me. 🙂 Congrats and thank you”From South Africa

“Hi there. Just like to say you are truly an inspiration to many…Keep up the good work!!!” – From Botswana

Hello….OMG…!!! I’ve yet to read your book…but OMG…you’re just a big inspiration. Even though I didn’t meet you, from the way my mother described you when you spoke, I am just speechless.!” – From Zambia

“Thanx Mr Islam for your inspiring speech today, you have really motivated me to reach my full potential….. and like u, i would really like to help the youth and to help them realize that anything is possible. THANX AGAIN!” Student in Swaziland

“First, i’d like to say thank you very much for coming to South Africa, it was highly appreciated. You have inspired a lot of people, especially the youth to get into entrepreneurship. Your “journey” made me believe that people possess a very strong power to make anything happen, as long as they are determined to do it. So I am a young female South African who would really like to be an entrepreneur and change people’s lives as you do.” – From South Africa

“Hi there Sabirul. I was so inspired by your talk at my school. I would love to be like you, so me and two of my friends thought about trying to become young entrepreneurs and opening our own business. So after your inspirational speech, we sat down and brainstormed some kinds of product or service we could do/create to sell, obviously not to make huge profit but a small step. I didn’t think I was capable of doing this until you showed me that everyone has the potential to be enterprising no matter the age. You have really changed my life. Thank You Sabirul.” Student in Nigeria

“I’m from Durban, I salute you for the inspirational words you gave on eTV this evening..It was an honour to hear you deliver such a powerful message to youth…I personally look up 2 you. Thank you” – From South Africa.
